Planning Board

Overview

The City of Conover Planning Board is an advisory board to the City Council. The 8-member board is made up of 7 residents appointed by the Conover City Council and one member appointed by the Catawba County Commission to three-year staggered terms.

This board reviews wording amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, preliminary and final subdivision plats, rezoning applications, and conditional zoning applications and considers other growth and development issues that affect the city. Planning Board members also serve as the city's Board of Adjustment for any variance cases that may arise. In the event that there are no items to review, the meeting may be canceled.

Meeting Schedule

The Planning Board will meet on the following dates* in 2025, beginning at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers of Conover City Hall.
